‘The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies’ releases a surprisingly dull trailer!

The Hobbit The Battle of The Five Armies

A trailer for the final instalment The Hobbit Trilogy has hit the Internet and…in my opinion it seems unexpectedly boring. Don’t get me wrong the trailer for The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies has Hobbits, Elves, Dwarves, Dragons, Orcs, CGI,   and more CGI. Oh lets not forget Sir Ian McKellan (he’s a bloody legend).  But haven’t we seen this all before? Over 8 hours worth if I remember correctly.

While I did quite like The Lord of the Rings Trilogy and managed to see past the “unnecessary” plot changes, the complete lack off the “Scouring of the Shire”, I’ve always had the opinion that stretching The Hobbit into a trilogy of 3 hour long films was a bit overkill.

Yes, I understand there’s been all the extra material used from J.R.R. Tokien’s other work, but it just feels like this trilogy is just an attempt at milking Middle Earth for everything it’s worth. Don’t even get me started on Peter Jackson unnecessary use of CGI. Anyways, that’s my rant over.

Will I see it? Probably. I did endure the first two.

Anyways, I’m sure some of you peeps are excited for it. What’s your thoughts on the trailer? Does it make you feel all kinds of emotions that it’s ending? Or are you glad it’s finally coming to an end?
