Okay straight up I’ve got my opinion of the gun laws in the U.S. and I personally believe they seriously need stricter laws…but for the sake of arguments let’s leave it right there. However, Evolve a gun safety organisation has just released one of the most brilliant ad campaigns I have ever seen in which they use humour to drive home the very unfunny and serious truth about gun safety.
Juxtaposing images of children playing with various adult “unmentionables” with the text reading “If they find it, they’ll play with it” hits the nail on the head with gun safety at home, and how deathly serious it is. For a gun safety organisation, Evolve has used a refreshingly engaging voice when it talks about gun safety. Created by McCann creative agency, this is marketing at its best, not only is it memorable and sharable because of the humour, it also gets the point across rather clearly. If you haven’t locked your guns up, they’re not 100% safe from your kids and this how tragedy happens.

Evolve also stress their non-partisan take on what is often a very charged and controversial debate in the U.S. by calling themselves “the third voice in the gun debate. Because safety is not a side.”
