Having quite a few trans friends, I’m often reminded of their daily struggles. The fact that there is disturbing high rates of both suicide and attacks on a daily basis, it is definitely something that NEEDS to be talked about. It’s relief that gender dysmorphia is finally getting wider recognition. It truly demonstrates that our society is finally developing their attitude towards trans people. At least there is some form of progression and recognition. Which is better than none at all.
Check out the video from BBC Free Speech of what NOT to ask a trans person and perhaps you might learn a thing or two.
I’m sure there’s a lot more, but at least this is a start.
